Hermit Crab Vacation Care?

So, I want to get hermit as a pet. I have researched tons on the proper care and I have got a plan to get everything that's necessary for the hermit . The only issue that I'm finding is "What if I go on vacation?" Are food blocks from PetCo that are for vacation acceptable? Do I need a family friend to do the work? Like dechlorinate the water and create the saltwater with the appropriate materials? And put in fresh foods? I'm so lost, somebody please help me.
